Links with Low and Middle Income Countries (LMIC) – Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia

In collaboration with Ethiopian and Malawian doctors, a new LMIC-IMPACT team has been formed to develop and modify IMPACT for use in a number of Low and Middle Income Countries. Expertise has also been provided by Mr Tony Clayson, Wrightington Hospital, Wigan, the Chairman of the Northwest Trauma Alliance for Africa (NOTAA) and Professor Mahesh Nirmalan, Professor of Medical Education and Vice Dean for Social Responsibility at Manchester University.  Christine Aiken and David Colville who are members of the LMIC-IMPACT team have visited Awassa Hospital, Ethiopia and Mzuzu Central Hospital, Malawi on a scoping exercise on how to develop IMPACT faculty in these locations.
