Today is a very sad day for IMPACT. Elaine Millar, our National Course Co-Ordinator leaves the IMPACT team after over a decade of “being the centre of Central Office” and the person who has always have been there, to make IMPACT the success it has become.

Dr Magnus Garrioch, National IMPACT Director, has worked with Elaine during that entire time said;

Elaine, you’ve been tremendous and will be sorely missed. You have been the glue that kept this project together through the ups and downs of IMPACT’s “life”. THANK YOU. Gavin and I will miss your excellence and bonhomie. The shared experience of guiding the IMPACT fraternity with you has been an absolute pleasure. We sincerely wish you all the best with your new job.

But perhaps most fitting as a measure of our nationwide thanks are some comments from our course centres, our contributors and our colleagues in Holland.

I am very sorry to hear you are leaving. I will miss your kind guidance, support and your friendly voice answering all the queries I have had over the years of working with IMPACT. I wish you all the very best in your new beginnings. I envy the team that is getting you on board……You will be a big loss! Thanks for all your help and support over the years.

Very best wishes for your future plans. It has been absolutely great, and a real pleasure, having you coordinating things over many years even if it was only recently that we got to meet in person. With many, many thanks for everything you have done over the years.

You will be missed dearly. God bless.

Thank you for all your support with IMPACT over the last 2 years. We are sorry to see you go. Wishing you all the best for the future.

Best of luck to you in your new chapter but I’d say those are big shoes to fill. All the very best.

I shall sincerely miss you as will many others not least the College. I am sure all the CDG members over the years would want to wish you well. Thank you so much for all your hard work and help. Shocked but with all my best wished for the future.

On behalf of the entire IMPACT family, I have the very important pleasure to write this message and wish Elaine the utmost of success in her new venture.

IMPACT Central Office remains open and courses restarting within weeks whilst we rejigger the team to perpetuate Elaine’s high standards.

Dr Gavin J Francis
Deputy National Director for IMPACT
